National Geographic shows a responsible approach to palm oil in Gabon
December’s edition of National Geographic covers the challenges around the global palm industry and the article includes our oil palm operations in Gabon as a positive example of environmentally and socially responsible palm production.
After being approached by National Geographic we invited them to see how we are seeking to Re-imagine Global Agriculture so that profitable farms, thriving rural communities and healthy ecosystems can coexist. This approach, outlined in our Living Landscapes Policy has the ultimate goal of delivering a positive overall impact in the places we work.
We have put sustainability at the heart of our business: conserving our planet’s natural resources and ecosystems and supporting local communities is not just the right thing to do, it is also essential to our business as we strive to meet the food and agricultural needs of the rising world population.
