Olam attends inaugural Sustainable Rice Platform Conference
Olam Rice is taking part in the first Global Sustainable Rice Conference and Exhibition at the UN Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand from 4-5 October. This conference is organised by the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP), a multi-stakeholder platform co-convened by UN Environment and the International Rice Research Institute of which Olam was a founding member, and will serve on the Advisory Committee from 2012-2017. SRP as a platform provides standards and indicators we can score our rice against, to promote resource efficiency and sustainability in the global rice sector through an alliance that links research, production, policy making, trade, and consumption.
Olam will be joined by other leading organisations such as BASF, Bayer, GIZ, Dow, DuPont and Syngenta at the conference as we look to advance the sustainable rice agenda. Keep up to date with proceedings by using the #sustainablericeconference2017 on Twitter.
