Olam’s Sunny Verghese speaking at the first Singapore Dialogue on Sustainable World Resources
Olam’s Group Managing Director and CEO, Sunny Verghese, will be speaking at the first Singapore Dialogue on Sustainable World Resources. Mr Verghese will deliver the keynote speech for the first panel of the day, entitled Pursuit of Sustainability – Looking Beyond Short Term Gains. The panellists will consider how governments and corporations might address the growing demand for food as world population increases, and how companies can strike a balance between profitability and sustainability.
The Dialogue is organised by the Singapore Institute of International Affairs and will focus on the sustainable management of resources in the ASEAN region and across the world, as well as addressing issues around climate change, finance and corporate social responsibility. The Dialogue will bring together key stakeholders including policy makers, business leaders and non-government experts. Other speakers include Singapore’s Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and the heads of sustainability at HSBC and Wilmar International Limited.
