With reference to the Announcement No. 00120 dated 15 June 2006 on the notice of a change in the percentage level of a substantial shareholder’s interest of Newton Investment Management Limited (“Newton”), Olam International Limited wishes to inform that pursuant to the fax confirmation dated 6th July 2006 from Newton, the Newton’s interest in 93,615,000 Olam shares should be classified as a deemed interest instead of direct interest as indicated in the announcement.
