Olam is committed to sustainable palm oil production and sourcing. In 2011, we launched our Sustainable Palm Oil Policy stating our commitment to the RSPO Standard, protection of High Conservation Value forests and eco-systems, High Carbon Stock forests, peatland, and improving the livelihoods of rural communities. We subsequently added no peat and no burning, and extended our commitments to 3rd party suppliers.
To reflect the expansion of our palm business in 2013 into trading, we updated our Policy to include a roadmap to sustainable and traceable third party sourcing. The most recent update to the Policy was in January 2018.
In January 2018, we also launched our Palm Dashboard to chart progress against our roadmap of commitments detailed in the Sustainable Palm Oil Policy. This will be updated on a quarterly basis. We have also published our third party supplier mill list.
