The processing of almonds after harvest is a two-stage process. First, the hull is removed followed by the in-shell, leaving behind the kernel. Kernels are then sent for sizing, grading and packing. In both Australia and California, we have developed strong relationships with reliable operators to ensure we produce the quality of almonds our customers want.
We are now establishing a state-of-the-art processing facility near Mildura in Northern Victoria, to provide production capacity for our orchards as they mature. The development of this facility will enable us to have direct control over every stage of the production process, ensuring full single-point control of almond quality, traceability and safety from orchard to customer.
