Today, we grow and market 22 different products in 6 countries in the region. As a part of the growth plan for the region Olam has invested in commercial and dairy farms in Russia, a port grain elevation facility on the sea of Azov, a grain silo in Ukraine and an instant coffee packaging unit in Russia.

Today Olam in the region is a leading supplier & buyer of dairy product, a dominant supplier of freeze dried instant coffee to “brand owner” and retail chains in the region. Olam not only grows various grains in Russia, but it also a leading exporter of wheat, corn and barley from the Black sea region. Olam’s dairy farm in Russia is one of the largest and one of the most efficient farms on the European continent.

In 1997, Olam in Uzbekistan was the first office to be initiated in the region followed by Turkmenistan in 1999 for sourcing of cotton. Russian operations started in 2003 followed by Ukraine in 2005. Olam’s first large acquisition in the region is the Russian Dairy Company (Rusmolco) which took place in 2012.
